The Magic of the New Mexico Latin Sync Camp: Red Horse BNB, Sacred Land & 10 Records in 2 Days
Experience the healing energy of Level Up's Latin sync camp in New Mexico. Eight writers from across America gathered at the stunning Red Horse BNB to collaborate with Bloom Records and The Vault Studios, writing 10 incredible records in just 12 hours.
Where Healing Meets Creation
There’s something about New Mexico that changes you.
The moment you arrive, the air feels different. Crisp. Clean. Ancient. The land carries a sacred energy that seeps into your bones and settles into your soul. Maybe it’s the altitude. Maybe it’s thousands of years of indigenous wisdom embedded in the earth. Maybe it’s just the magic that happens when the right people gather in the right place at the right time.
That’s what happened at the Level Up Latin Sync Camp in New Mexico last week.
Red Horse BNB: A Creative Sanctuary
We could have chosen a corporate conference center. Instead, we chose the Red Horse BNB—a stunning bed and breakfast that felt less like a venue and more like a home for creativity.
The space was intimate. Warm. You could feel the care that went into every detail. The energy of the place supported what we were trying to create: a safe, nurturing environment where writers could take creative risks and dig deep into their craft.
That matters more than you’d think.
When you’re writing music, especially collaborative music with people you just met, you need to feel safe. You need to trust that your ideas won’t be judged harshly. You need to know that the space holds you.
The Red Horse BNB did all of that.
The Collaborators: Eight Writers, One Vision
We brought together eight songwriters and producers from different corners of America.
Different backgrounds. Different influences. Different stories. Different sounds.
On paper, that diversity could have been chaotic. Instead, it was exactly what made the magic happen.
A writer from Los Angeles brought west coast energy. A Nashville-based producer brought structural expertise. A songwriter from New York brought edge and urgency. Someone from Texas brought warmth and groove. Another from Miami brought Caribbean flavors and percussion sensibilities.
When you blend eight distinct creative voices, you don’t dilute the result—you amplify it.
The Sponsors Making It Possible
None of this would have been possible without the support of two incredible organizations:
Bloom Records and The Vault Studios in Albuquerque believed in this vision before it became real. They understood what we were trying to do—creating space for Latin music innovation while building community among independent writers who are often creating in isolation.
Their support meant we could focus entirely on the creative work, not logistics. That’s the kind of partnership that changes what’s possible in music.
10 Records in 12 Hours
Here’s what sounds impossible but actually happened:
Eight writers wrote 10 complete records in 12 hours.
You read that right. Two days. Ten finished pieces of music.
But before you think it’s some kind of quantity-over-quality hustle—it’s not. Every single record that came out of this camp is complete, produced, and genuinely beautiful. These aren’t sketches or demos. These are real, finished pieces of music.
How?
Elimination of waste. No second-guessing. No endless tweaking. No committee-decision-making. Writers came prepared, got into rooms with collaborators, and created. The sacred energy of the space, the crisp air of New Mexico, the collective intention—it all cut through the noise and distraction that usually slows down creative work.
Ideas flowed. Decisions came fast. Creativity accelerated.
The Healing Component
What surprised many of the writers who came wasn’t just the music they created. It was how they felt.
One writer described it as “the most healing 12 hours I’ve had in years.”
Another said, “I came here thinking I’d write some songs. I left having written songs and remembered why I fell in love with music in the first place.”
That’s the thing about sacred spaces and intentional community—they don’t just produce better work. They produce healing work.
The crisp New Mexico air. The ancient land beneath your feet. The warmth of the Red Horse BNB. Being surrounded by people who actually get it, who aren’t competing for the last spot or the only record deal. People who are genuinely rooting for each other.
That creates something. Not just musically, but spiritually and emotionally too.
Why This Matters
The music industry has always been fragmented for independent writers. You’re supposed to compete. Keep your ideas secret. Protect your intellectual property like your life depends on it. Network with a smile while wondering if anyone’s really your friend.
The Level Up Latin Sync Camp challenged all of that.
By bringing eight writers together—showing them that collaboration actually makes better music, not worse—we’re proving something fundamental: the rising tide really does lift all boats.
These eight writers will leave New Mexico with:
- 10 finished records with their names on them
- Real collaborations with people they’ll probably work with for years
- Proof that they belong in a music industry that often makes them feel like outsiders
- A healing experience that reminded them why they make music in the first place
- A community that will support their next ten placements, next hundred rejections, and entire careers
The Future Is Community
The Level Up Latin Sync Camp at the Red Horse BNB showed us something powerful: when you create the right conditions—a sacred space, intentional collaborators, a clear creative mission, and support from sponsors who believe in your vision—magic isn’t just possible.
It’s inevitable.
We came to New Mexico to write music. We left having created art, built friendships, and remembered what it means to belong to something bigger than ourselves.
That’s the Level Up experience.
